Is Prime Minister Modi, President of Ukraine Zelenskyy all over Japanese newspapers today | News from India

HIROSHIMA: Japanese newspapers were flooded on Sunday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky during G7 summit.
They also extensively covered Zelenskyy’s visit to Hiroshima during the Russia-Ukraine match that began on February 24 last year.
“Democracy needs more. I think we need clear global leadership of democracy. This is the main thing that we provide with our cooperation,” the Ukrainian president said.
On Saturday, he invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the Ukrainian Peace Formula initiative and also thanked him for supporting the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Taking to Twitter, Zelensky he said, “I had a meeting with Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi in Japan. I informed the interlocutor in detail about the Ukrainian Peace Formula initiative and invited India to join its implementation. I talked about the needs of the “Ukraine in humanitarian demining and mobile hospitals. I thank India for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, especially at the platforms of international organizations, and for providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine”.
At the meeting, PM Ways he assured that he will do everything possible to help resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
“India and I will do everything we can to resolve the conflict,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Zelenskyy said he believes India will participate in restoring the rules-based international order that all free nations clearly need.
On Twitter, Zelenskyy shared a video in which he said: “I spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I gave an update on the progress of our peace formula. We have already gone through many stages of presenting the formula to leaders and countries from different parts of the world. The day before, the formula was successfully presented to the participants of the Arab League Summit”.
“I believe India will participate in restoring the rules-based international order that all free nations clearly need,” he added.
Notably, this was the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since the Russia-Ukraine war began on February 24 last year.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Prime Minister Modi has spoken several times with Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Zelenskyy.
The Group of Seven talks culminated on Sunday with a dramatic in-person appeal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is urging the leaders gathered here to stand united against Russian aggression.
In an atmospheric morning photoshoot, the leaders in suits lined up next to the Ukrainian president, dressed in his usual military green, to show their unwavering support for his country’s progress, CNN reported.
As they met behind closed doors, it was almost certain that Zelensky would continue his calls for more powerful weapons and harsher sanctions against Russia.
“Together with all our allies and partners, we have reached such a level of cooperation that guarantees respect for democracy, international law and freedom. There have been attempts to ignore and ignore what we value. But now it is impossible. Now the Our power is growing. Anyone who wants to lead aggression against a democratic country sees what the answer will be. And the more we all work together, the less likely it is that anyone else in the world will follow Russia’s crazy path. But is that enough? Democracy needs more. I think we need clear global leadership of democracy. This is the main thing we provide with our cooperation,” Zelenskyy tweeted.
