Time for Virat Kohli to move to Delhi Capitals: Kevin Pietersen

NEW DELHI: Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has suggested a potential move for Virat Kohli to the Delhi Capitals, following the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s early exit from this year’s IPL.
Despite Kohli’s dazzling century in the crucial RCB league final leg game, they failed to claim victory as Gujarat Titans, led by unbeaten ton of Shubman Gill, secured a victory at six wickets, thus concluding the campaign of the RCB.
“It’s time for VIRAT to move to the capital…!” Pietersen tweeted.

Former India captain Kohli has been with the RCB since the league’s inaugural edition in 2008 and managed them for much of his time in the franchise, stepping down from the role after the 2021 edition.
While RCB were eliminated here on Sunday, Gujarat topped the league with 20 points and will face Chennai Super Kings in the first qualifier on Tuesday with the winner advancing directly to next Sunday’s final.
RCB’s loss meant Mumbai Indians sealed the final playoff spot, having beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first game of the day.

Mumbai Indians will face third-placed Lucknow Super Giants in the second playoff game on Wednesday. The loser of the first qualifier will have another chance to advance to the final when they face the winner of the second qualifier on Friday.
