RAIPUR: In the scorching heat of summer, a heartwarming story unfolds when a 10-year-old boy and his 13-year-old friend decided to offer cool water in an earthen pot to pedestrians and passers-by in Raipur.
Every day from 10am to 4pm, young people offer fresh water to people in their makeshift hut.
Khilesh Baag (10) and his 13-year-old friend Granth Sagar are students at a government school in the civilian lines area.
The clay pots are filled by a Renjan Jain who lives nearby.
The children live in a nearby housing society and generally come home while I teach too. When the summer holidays started, the children started playing in the scorching heat, which could have negative effects on their health. Last year too, together with these children, we had opened a ‘Pyau Ghar’ during the summer, Jain said.
