NEW DELHI: seeded Iga Swiatek of Poland delivered a flawless display, demolishing China Wang Xinyu 6-0, 6-0 Saturday. Swiatek’s remarkable form keeps her firmly on track to successfully defend it French Open title, while simultaneously sending a warning to its competitors.
Aiming to win his third trophy in Paris in five years, Swiatek showed his strength as he progressed effortlessly to the fourth round.
In her three matches in Paris, she conceded just eight matches and impressively won four of six sets without conceding a single match.
“Of course I’m happy. It was a very good performance from me and I was happy that I was disciplined and took care of everything,” Swiatek said.
“Every point is important to me and at the highest level, every point counts,” added the 22-year-old world number one. “You always have to be a bit disciplined.
“I will use this skill later when I have close matches.”

Swiatek, who also pulled off the double bagel feat in Rome last month, refused to be drawn into Wang’s power rallies and instead ran his opponent.
