Eden Hazard to leave Real Madrid after dismal four-year spell

NEW DELHI: Real Madrid announced on Saturday that Eden Hazard will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Both parties agreed to end his contract a year earlier than expected.
Since moving from chelsea In La Liga, Hazard faced a difficult four-year spell, struggling with injuries and struggling to adapt to life at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite being the most expensive acquisition in Real Madrid history, the 32-year-old Hazard’s tenure has been marked by limitations and setbacks.
Hazard, who has made just six league appearances this season and 10 in all competitions, has won eight trophies with Real including the Champions League and two league titles.
“Real Madrid CF and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement whereby the player is dissociated from the club with effect from June 30, 2023,” the club said.
“Real Madrid want to express their affection for Eden Hazard and wish him and all his family good luck in this new stage.”
Real face Athletic Club in their last La Liga game of the season on Sunday.
