NEW DELHI: In a warm gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian cricket team on Sunday for their remarkable victory against the Netherlands in a World Cup match. He expressed his joy at the team’s outstanding performance, particularly highlighting KL Rahul’s century and Shreyas Iyer‘s brilliant knock of 128.
Modi also extended his best wishes to the players as they prepare for the high-stakes semi-final clash against New Zealand on Wednesday.

The Indian team’s commanding win over the Netherlands, securing its ninth consecutive victory in the World Cup, added to the festive spirit of Diwali. KL Rahul’s century and Shreyas Iyer’s stellar innings propelled India to a comprehensive 160-run triumph, helping the team finish the league engagements with 18 points.
