Renukaswamy murder case: Court extends police custody of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa till July 22
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been taken into police custody.

NEW DELHI: A Bengaluru court on Thursday extended police custody of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and three other accused by two days in the Renukaswamy murder case.
Thirteen other accused, including the actor’s friend Pavithra Gowda, were remanded to 14-days judicial custody. In total, 17 people are accused in the case.
According to police sources, Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor, had sent obscene messages to Gowda, which allegedly enraged Darshan, leading to the murder.
Renukaswamy’s body was discovered near a storm-water drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli on June 9.
