NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party leader on Sunday criticised the BJP government for working against the basic value of reservation. He accused the saffron party of discriminating against the the families of PDA (Picchda, Dalit and Alpasankhyak).
“Since BJP came to power, they have tinkered with the reservation. They are working against the fundamentals of the reservation.BJP is tinkering with reservation of PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Adiwasi). They have been continuously doing that,” he said speaking to the reporters.
Highlighting the lack of representation of PDA families in educational positions, Yadav said, “There are no PDA family members as Vice Chancellors. There are not more than 15% PDA employees in JNU. They are not in favour of the PDA.”
He said that Mandal Commission, Ram Manohar Lohia, Babasaheb Ambedkar and Subhash Chandra Bose wanted to safeguard the rights of the PDA families and BJP is working against that.
