Domino’s Pizza UK under fire for ‘cringe’ attempt to join ‘Hawk Tuah’ trend

NEW DELHI: Domino’s pizza UK‘s attempt to join the ‘Hawk Tuah’ trend went downhill after social media users slammed the food company for its inappropriate post.
“It’s Two For (Hawk) Tuahsday,” the company wrote in a post on, in context to the viral Hawk Tuah girl and her comments, which took the internet by storm.
Soon after the social media post, netizens attacked the company.One user wrote ,”this is getting out of hand yall,” while another wrote, “You guys shouldn’t be joking with hawk tuah lmao. Avoiding Domino’s for some time…”.
“I’ll take my pizza without the hawk tuah thanks,” one user said, while another wrote, “Not the best advertisement for food btw.” “Cringe,” one user commented. “Pack your bags people, Domino’s ruined the meme,” one user said, while another wrote, “Wtf dominoes”.
The Hawk Tuah girl, identified as Hailey Welch, gained viral fame after a street interview video by creators Tim & Dee TV. In the video, she was asked about a move that drives men crazy, to which she famously responded, “You gotta give ’em that ‘Hawk Tuah’ and spit on that thang.”
While details about Welch remain scarce, her sudden popularity led her to collaborate with Tennessee-based business Fathead Threads to sell Hawk Tuah merchandise. Jason Poteete, the owner of Fathead Threads, mentioned his long-standing acquaintance with Welch and his intention to help her profit from her viral fame.
