Bike unveiled at India Bike Week 2022: 822 Himalayan to three new bikes from China


Indian Bicycle Week 2022 closed its tents on Saturday after a weekend of motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country and beyond to gather in Goa to celebrate their love of motorcycling. So naturally, the event serves as a great platform for brands to showcase their new and upcoming bikes. We were on site for a closer look and found the following five to be the highlights of the motorcycle fest.
822 Himalayan

822 Himalayan

The 822 Himalayan is a custom motorcycle built by Autologue Design and Auto Engina, who have come together for the world’s first and only 822cc parallel Himalayan twin. The bike uses a custom built engine with twin 411cc single-cylinder engines, which put out around 45hp and 55Nm. Many other parts and components were custom built, such as the two-to-one exhaust, swingarm and lower half of the frame. himself, among others. The total cost of the construction, Autologue tells us, was around Rs 12-13 lakh. But the team is working to streamline costs and further streamline the chassis, should a build be ordered.
2023 BMW S1000RR
The new S1000RR 2023 was unveiled at IBW extension last week amid much hype. The new model is more powerful and now delivers 210 HP on a weight of only 197 kg (fully loaded). Additionally, the aesthetics received a substantial upgrade with M-style features on board and most notably the addition of winglets. The official launch of the 2023 S1000RR will take place on 10 December.
QJ engine

Motovault has added a new brand under its umbrella, QJ Motors. The brand presented three of its motorcycles at the bike fest: SRK 400, SRV 300 and SRC 500. While the SRC 500 is a classic roadster, the SRV 300 has cruiser-style appeal and the SRK 400 is a streetfighter. The cheapest of the lot of the 500cc SRC at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the SRV 300 which is the smallest V-twin in India is priced at Rs 3.59 lakh (ex-showroom) and the SRK 400 which Also gets a parallel twin priced at Rs 3.59 (ex showroom).

The Nightster is one of the new generation HD motorcycles, powered by a 975cc Revolution Max producing 89hp and 95Nm. The bike is priced at Rs 14.99 lakh for black and Rs 15.13 lakh for color .
Adventure KTM 890
The 2023 KTM 890 Adventure made its global debut a couple of days ago. KTM India showcased the MY22 890 Adventure R at India Bike Week to gauge consumer interest. The ADV mounts an 889 cc parallel twin that delivers 104 HP at 8,000 rpm and 100 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm, combined with a 6-speed gearbox. Details on an official launch are not yet known.
