Ukraine aims to drastically reduce power cuts by Tuesday evening

Kyiv: Ukraine aims to drastically reduce energy deficit caused by latest Russian airstrikes by Tuesday evening, says German energy minister Galushchenko said.
Missile strikes across Ukraine on Monday destroyed homes and knocked out power in some areas, but Ukrainian air defenses limited the impact and damage appeared less severe than the previous wave of airstrikes on Nov. 23.
Galushchenko said power generation facilities and substations were affected and reported that Kyiv regions, Vinnytsia in central-western Ukraine and Odessa in the south had suffered the worst damage.
“We are now putting the nuclear blocks (power plants) back into operation and the (electricity) deficit will be significantly reduced by the evening,” he told Ukrainian television.
