NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday mocked the opposition for his criticisms and said the more dirt they throw, the better the lotus will be.
“I want to tell you opposition MPs, the more you throw ‘keechad’ (mud), the better the lotus will bloom,” PM Ways said participating in the discussion on the Motion of thanks on the Address of the president.
Amid opposition party slogans, the PM said that Congress had slowed the country’s development and India lost six decades while smaller countries progressed. Opposition parties used the debate to attack Prime Minister Modi and the government for helping Adanithe phenomenal rise of recent years.
