NEW DELHI: Reiterating his “Sabka sath, sabka vikash, sabka vishwas, sabka prayas” mantra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the Indian government’s policies and efforts to serve the poor, backward and underprivileged classes see no discrimination.
“When I tell people to walk the path of duty (kartavya), many respond to me in return. I am speaking only of duties and not of rights. Today India is carrying out reforms not out of compulsion, but out of conviction. poor and marginalized has become the top priority of our government,” said Prime Minister Modi, speaking at an event marking the 200th anniversary of Maharishi’s birth Dayan and Saraswati in New Delhi on Sunday.
The government has organized year-long celebrations to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of the social reformer and founder of Arya Samaj.

The government pledged to celebrate social reformers and notable personalities, especially those whose contributions have not yet received their due on a pan-India scale, he added.
