SAGARDIGHI (MURSHIDABAD): Arguing that there was a link between Congress and the BJP behind the scenes in Sagardighi’s Feb. 27 polls, TMC National Secretary General Abhishek Banerjee said on Sunday “a vote in favor Congress it is a lotus vote,” further stating, “A vote in Congress means a vote to strengthen the hand of the BJP in implementing the NRC. “
In a pre-poll rally, the TMC leader said, “I want to question the leader of the opposition Suvendu Adhikari and Pradesh Congress Chairman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on why there are no incursions against BJP or Congress leaders in Bengal. Why target only Trinamool?”
