Williamson had missed the last two games against West Indies last week with a quad injury but is available for the three-game series September 6-11 in Cairns.
Boult, who was released from his central contract with NZC at his own request earlier this month so he can spend less time traveling and more time at home with his family, is also part of the team of 15 players.
“It’s a big rivalry we have with Australia, it’s always a big occasion for the fans, and the team are really looking forward to it,” Williamson said.
“You grow up watching the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series and remembering the big battles, so being part of another chapter is pretty special.
“We know how tough Australia are to beat on their own terms and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

Fast bowler Matt Henry also recovered from a rib injury to be named to the squad at the expense of spinner Ish Sodhi. Injuries to Kyle Jamieson (back) and Adam Milne (Achilles) meant they weren’t selected.
Australia, who have won the trophy six times, are defending champions.
