Yora Tade: Indian kickboxer dies after collapsing in ring



Tade, 24, was rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai on Sunday after suffering “a severe blow to the head in the final match of the national kickboxing championship,” the hospital told CNN on Wednesday.

Doctors operated on him and admitted him to intensive care. However, Tade died unresponsive to treatment on Tuesday, the hospital added in its statement.

Tade was from the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh and was in the championship final when he suffered the blow.
