MOSCOW: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Ukraine was continuing to bomb the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, increasing the risks of a nuclear disaster in Europe, Russian news agencies reported on Friday.
Shoigu accused Ukraine of “nuclear terrorism” and dismissed claims of Kyiv and the West that Russia had deployed heavy weapons at the nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, which has been under Russian control since March.
Kyiv and Moscow have accused each other of attacking the facility. Reuters was unable to verify reports from the battlefield.
