The ministry said the news outlets caused unrest and considers its news as interference in Iran’s internal affairs and acts against its sovereignty.

The state news agency IRNA also reported that the ministry summoned the Norwegian ambassador to Iran and strongly protested the recent remarks by the Norwegian parliament speaker, Masud Gharahkhani.

Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, died in police custody after being arrested by the morality police in Tehran earlier this month for allegedly wearing her Islamic headscarf too loosely. Police said she died of a heart attack and was not mistreated, but her family questioned this.

His death sparked unrest in the Iranian provinces and in the capital Tehran. As of Sunday, protests over his death have spread to at least 46 cities, towns and villages in Iran. State TV has suggested that at least 41 protesters and policemen have been killed since the protests began on September 17.

A member of the Basij, a volunteer force with the Iranian Guards, was killed by protesters on Saturday night in Tehran, the semi-official Fars news agency reported. Another Basij member, who had been in a coma since Thursday after the street riots, died Sunday in Urmia, western Azerbaijan province, IRNA reported.

Amini’s death has sparked harsh condemnations from Western countries and the United Nations, as well as solidarity protests abroad. Violent street demonstrations broke out in front of the Iranian embassy in London on Sunday, with stones thrown at police and five protesters arrested. Numerous police officers were injured in the clashes, although none were seriously injured.
