A man involved in extradition proceedings in the United States on rape charges was arrested in a Glasgow hospital.
Arthur Knight, who US authorities claim to be Nicholas Rossi, is accused of acting threatening or abusive in a ward at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow on Tuesday.
The prosecution against him claims that he acted aggressively towards a counselor and a senior chief nurse while performing their duties.
Knight is presumed to have screamed, cursed, lunged at them and chased them.
Court documents state that Knight goes by other names such as Nicholas Rossi, Nicholas Alahverdian, Nicholas Brown, Arthur Winston Brown, and Arthur Knight Brown.

Nicholas Rossi is wanted in connection with the rape of a 21-year-old woman in Utah in September 2008, and is also alleged to have assaulted women in Rhode Island, Ohio and Massachusetts.
Utah authorities say he fled the United States to avoid prosecution and attempted to trick investigators into believing he was dead.
Arthur Knight has lived in Glasgow with his wife Miranda since late last year.
An Interpol ‘red notice’ was issued for Nicholas Rossi’s arrest and he was identified as the fugitive after being hospitalized with COVID.
The latest hearing on the US extradition request was set for Thursday at Sheriff Court in Edinburgh.
As for his arrest in connection with the hospital unrest, Knight was supposed to appear via video link at a virtual hearing of the Glasgow Sheriff.
Prosecutor Julie Clark told the court: “My information is that Mr. Knight is in a police office. He has identified that he is ineligible to appear in court.”
He added: “I have medical evidence that he is ineligible and was eligible to be detained.
“I would ask that he be brought to court rather than appear via liaison.”
Sheriff James Spy continued the case for no reason until Thursday and authorized Knight to attend or be represented.
Knight was placed in custody.
