Taylor Swift became the first artist to claim all of the top 10 positions on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

All the songs are taken from the latest album by the pop star Midnights, released just over a week ago on Friday 21st October.

The record was previously held by US rapper Drake, who had nine of the top 10 songs for a week in September last year.

Reacting to the news, Swift tweeted to his 91.5 million followers: “10 out of 10 on the Hot 100 ??? On my 10th album ??? I AM IN SHAMBLES”.

Her first single from the album – Anti-Hero – took the top spot, marking her ninth career number.

The other songs that made the top 10 were Lavender Haze, Maroon, Snow On The Beach, Midnight Rain, Bejeweled, Question …?, You’re On Your Own, Kid, Karma and Vigilante S ***.

Midnights is this year’s best-selling album, surpassing Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, according to the Official Charts Company.

He racked up 204,000 chart sales in seven days – more than doubling Swift’s previous record of 90,300 – which he achieved with his 1989 album, released in 2014.

It was the first week of biggest album sales since Adele’s album 30 was released last November, and it was also the most streamed album of the year, with 72.5 million streams over the seven. days.

Swift also dominated the UK charts last week, with Midnights and Anti-Hero both taking first place.

It comes just days after the Anti-Hero music video controversy.

The original version of the song showed the pop superstar stepping on the bathroom scale before the dial turned to reveal the word “fat”.

But it has been updated on YouTube and Apple Music, with the new version showing Swift only receiving a disapproving look from a doppelganger standing to one side.

The change was made after some fans and public figures criticized the original scene, suggesting it encouraged “fatphobia”.
