“They had an encouraging and constructive meeting with the FIFA President on the future development of Indian football,” the AIFF said in a statement.
“Discussions were held on key aspects of Indian football development and areas that need priority attention.”
Infantino has confirmed he will travel to India in the near future, he added.
“All possible high-impact projects and programs regarding Indian football will be finalized before the FIFA President’s visit to India,” the national association said in a statement.
Chaubey was elected president of the AIFF after beating former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia 33-1 in the September 2 election.
Chaubey, 45, leader of West Bengal’s Bharatiya Janata Party, is the first former player to be elected as head of Indian football’s governing body.
A day later, longtime administrator Prabhakaran was appointed as the AIFF’s general secretary.
