A controversy has erupted over allotment of government flats to Rohingya refugees in Delhi.
Critics said it was against the Centre’s earlier claims that the Rohingya Muslims were not refugees but illegal immigrants and that the Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus from Pakistan living as refugees in the national capital should have been given priority in allotment of flats. Read full story
Akasa Air, the startup budget airline launched on August 7 with late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala as its biggest investor, will add one aircraft every two weeks.
Akasa Air has said it remains ‘well-capitalised’ and will induct the ordered 72 aircraft over the next five years. It will also place a ‘significantly larger’ aircraft order in the next 1.5 years. The airline inducted its third Boeing 737 MAX on Tuesday. Read full story
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has instructed all airlines to ensure that passengers are wearing masks.
The DGCA told airlines to ensure that the Covid-19 protocol and proper sensitization of the passengers through various platforms is being followed properly throughout the journey. Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as accused in a chargesheet that will be filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Sukesh Chandrasekhar 200 crore money laundering case.
The actress may not be arrested right now as the court is yet to take cognizance of the charge sheet, however she may not be allowed to travel outside the country.
