Ukrainian special forces operating inside Russian-occupied Crimea were behind an attack on a military base there, according to Sky News.
Russia’The Defense Ministry said a fire broke out after several explosions at a temporary ammunition storage facility in the Dzhankoi region of northern Crimea at around 4:15 a.m. BST (6:15 a.m. local time) .
Footage shows fire and smoke shooting into the sky above the gun shop near the village of Maiske in the early hours of Tuesday.

Sky News understands the strikes were the work of Ukrainian special forces operating inside the territory, which was annexed by Russia in 2014.
This comes after Russia accused Ukrainian “saboteurs” of carrying out the attack.
Sky News correspondent in Odessa, Alistair Bunkall, said: “I think what is clear is that there is at least one – if not two – groups of Ukrainian special forces operating with Ukrainian sympathizers in Crimea. to disrupt Russian operations.”
Russian state media reported that two people were injured as a result of the explosions north of the peninsula and that trains were also disrupted.
Some 3,000 people living nearby have been evacuated from their homes, added Sergei Aksyonov, a senior Russian official in Crimea.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky is calling on international leaders to expel Russian forces from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, where he claims the Kremlin is engaging in nuclear terrorism.
