Behind Jungam throughout the final, the 36-year-old Indian kept his composure to level the score at 20 all in the final set of the knockout round.
“It was an incredible final. I’m very happy to win the gold medal despite two malfunctions. It was a good experience before the very important world championships in November,” Jakhar told the India Paralympic Committee.
Pooja Agarwal won a bronze medal with 14 points.
Paralympic champion Avani Lekhara won the silver medal in competition with a new wheelchair and rifle.
Represented by 14 shooters, India is one of the strongest teams in the Changwon 2022 World Cup.
