Gary Busey: Point Break star accused of sex offenses at horror movie fan convention | Entities and news on the arts



Hollywood actor Gary Busey was charged with incident-related sex offenses at a popular horror film convention in Philadelphia.

Busey, 78, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault in the fourth degree, one count of criminal attempted sexual contact and one count of harassment, Cherry Hill police said.

Fourth degree sexual assault carries a sentence of up to 18 months if the accused is found guilty.

The actor visited the annual Monster Mania Convention at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, Philadelphia last weekend.

He had been a featured guest at the event, which focused on horror films and merchandising.

Although police did not name the actor in their press release, the details were confirmed by US media.

Sky News reached out to Busey’s reps for comment.

The actor is widely known for his role in Point Break, as well as his Oscar nomination for Best Actor for the title role in 1978’s The Buddy Holly Story.
