Toronto police have created a Twitter page showing all the guns they have taken off the streets. But the latest firearm on the account sparked ridicule.

On Monday, the Toronto Police Department tweeted a photo of a rusty gun, which clearly hasn’t worked for many years.

Twitter users amassed jokes, sarcastically thanking the department for keeping Toronto’s streets safe.

A Twitter user noted that the serial number on the rusty gun was one.

Another joked that this gun was actually responsible for killing the dinosaurs, which would have happened about 65 million years ago.

Another Twitter user noted that the gun was so rusty it probably would have worn out the holder with tetanus “before harming someone else with a real bullet.”

According to the report, all the weapons sent were seized by Toronto police officers. Many of the firearms were used in shootings or other crimes, police said.
