Tata Motors launches the JET edition of Nexon, Harrier, Safari: new price, features


Tata Motors today announced the launch of the Jet Edition range including Nexon, Harrier and Safari. Nexon Jet Edition the price starts from Rs 12.14 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). The Harrier Jet Edition the price starts from Rs 20,90 lakh (former Delhi showroom) and the price for the Safari Jet Edition starts at Rs 21.35 lakh (former Delhi showroom).

Nanny Motors says this unique and luxurious range is inspired by “Business Jets”, which will attract a group of customers who love opulence and want to rise to the top in luxury. The JET Edition will be offered with top-of-the-range features along with a unique exterior and interior color theme. The Jet editions of Nexon, Harrier and Safari will be available with a two-tone combination of an earthy bronze bodywork and a platinum silver roof and also gets painted alloys with jet black and silver skid plates at the front.

The interior features two-tone Oyster White and Granite black. The SUVs also feature a bronze-finished techno-steel center pad on the dashboard along with bronze accents on the doors and floor consoles. All three SUVs have Jet embroidery on the front headrests and decorative stitching on the seats with a bronze thread.
Tata Harrier Jet, Safari Jet and Nexon Jet will be the new flagship variants of the lineup. The Jet Edition will be available at all authorized Tata Motors dealerships starting today.
Tata Harrier and Safari Jet Edition: What’s New?
The Harrier and Safari will now be equipped with ESP safety features such as the driver’s Doze off warning, panic brake warning and braking after impact. These features will go beyond the existing 14 security features. In addition, both SUVs will also receive a USB Type-C charger in all rows.

The Harrier will now also be equipped with electronic parking brakes in manual and automatic variants along with all 4 disc brakes.
More importantly, both SUVs will also include a wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, an air purifier and a wireless charger. The interior is now complemented with perforated Tri-Arrow – Benecke-Kaliko Oyster White leatherette seats and various refined Bronze inserts.

The engine of the Harrier and Safari is the same 2.0-liter turbo multijet diesel engine of Fiat origin that produces 170 hp of power at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of maximum torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual.

Tata Nexon Jet edition: what’s new?
In the case of the Nexon, features that have been carried forward from the standard variant include ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof with tilt function, an air purifier with AQI display, and a wireless charger.

The Tata Nexon will be available with two engines, a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine producing 110PS and 260Nm. transmission for both include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Nexon has Eco, City and Sport driving modes.

The Tata engines were rumored to launch revamped versions of the Harrier and Safari. The revamped versions were supposed to come with a new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, a 360-degree camera and an updated infotainment system and reports also suggested that the SUV could get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
