LONDON: British Prime Minister in waiting Liz Truss will present a plan to cut taxes and boost economic growth, she said on Monday after winning the Conservative party contest to replace Boris Johnson as the country’s new leader.
“I will present a bold plan to reduce taxes and grow our economy. I will address the energy crisis, addressing people’s energy bills, but also addressing the long-term issues we have on the energy supply,” Truss said in a speech after the result.
