Democrat Raphael Warnock has been re-elected to the US Senate in a crucial victory for President Joe Biden, NBC News predicted.
His win gives Democrats an outright majority in the Senate after two years under a 50-50 split, with Vice President Kamala Harris voting in a tie.
Mr Warnock beat his Republican rival Herschel Walker in the Georgia race – a former NFL star.
A runoff was called because none of the candidates won an outright majority in midterm elections last month.
