Methane breeze
The Maruti Suzuki Breeze it will soon join the company’s S-CNG range, with the arriving car previously spotted at a dealership, confirming a launch in the coming weeks. The Breeze could become the first subcompact SUV in India to be offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The 1.5-litre petrol engine delivers 88 HP of power and 122 Nm of torque in CNG mode and will only be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

CNG-powered Grand Vitara
Another Maruti Suzuki car destined to follow the path of methane is the SUV Grand Vitara, which follows the example of its cousin Toyota Hyryder. Only the mild-hybrid version of the mid-size SUV will be offered with the CNG kit, i.e. the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Brezza, delivering 88 HP/122 Nm in CNG mode. The Grand Vitara CNG could offer a mileage of around 26 – 27 km/kg.
Crossover YTB/Baleno Cross
Multiple spy shots in the past have hinted that Maruti Suzuki is working to introduce a new crossover to be placed below the Breeze in its lineup. Known internally as YTB, the new Maruti Suzuki crossover will likely be based on the Whale premium hatch, and therefore, it could also be called Whale Cross. We expect the YTB/Baleno Cross to retail through the company’s Nexa dealerships like the car it will be based on.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated cars in the Indian market since its debut at Auto Expo 2020. However, unlike the 3-door version sold in overseas markets, it is likely that Maruti is working on a 5-door version of the off-road SUV exclusively for the Indian market. The Jimny 5-door is expected to be launched next year and will continue to compete with the likes of the Mahindra Thar 5-door and Force Gurkha 5-door.
