New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced her resignation.
His last day in office will be February 7 – and a general election has been called for October 14.
“I know what this job takes. And I know I don’t have enough resources to do it justice anymore,” she said.
Ms Ardern, who became New Zealand Prime Minister in 2017, continued: “While I am not contesting the (upcoming) election, I know that the issues that affect New Zealanders the most will remain at the center of discussion.
