Stray dogs kill UP 3-year-old girl, 200 bite marks found | News from India

BAREILLY: A three-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of wild dogs in the village of Bandia in CB Ganj area of Barilly on Tuesday. According to doctors, there were at least 200 dog bite marks on his body.
Pari, daughter of Avdhesh Gangwar, a factory worker, was the youngest of four sisters and one brother. On Tuesday night, she was playing in the backyard of their house while her older sister Sunita he was preparing dinner. Even she was soon heading to a field to play when about seven to eight hungry dogs pounced on her.
According to locals, a young man heard her screaming for help and rushed to save her. He too was bitten by the dogs when he snatched Pari from their clutches. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Pari’s uncle Jitendra Kumar said: ‘She moved away from home and no one in the family could hear her cries for help. Her dogs also dragged her for almost 50 meters and bit her all over her body, causing deep wounds, especially in her neck ».
CB Ganj SHO Ashok Kumar said, “We have sent a team to the village to check the incident. The family refused to hand over the body for autopsy and buried it according to Hindu rituals. The municipal agency has been notified of the incident and has been instructed to take the necessary measures to address the threat of stray dogs.”
Jogendra Kumar, a local, said TOI, “A number of illegal slaughterhouses were operating in the area and stray dogs fed on the waste from the slaughterhouses. But now those units have been closed down and these stray dogs have become violent as they go hungry. Locals are unable to feed these animals every day. People have written to the civic body many times about the threat of strays, but their campaign usually ends after they catch a few dogs. There have been 15 cases of dog bites in the village in the recent past.”
This is the third such incident reported from Bandia village in CB Ganj. 10-year-old Morpal on April 27, 2021 and a seven-year-old girl in July 2020 Rohini they were mauled to death by stray dogs in the village. Also, a seven-year-old boy was killed by strays in Rampur on March 15 last year, while an eight-year-old girl was mauled to death in Pilibhit in December 2021.
A similar incident occurred recently in Hyderabad in which a four year old boy was killed by dogs in a housing society. CCTV footage of the incident showed dogs mauling and trying to drag the boy away.
