Taarak Mehta’s Dilip Joshi Reacts To Life Threatening News Calling It ‘Fake’, Says ‘Many Old Friends And Extended Family Members Called To Check’

The news of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Dilip Joshi’s house threat worried many of his fans and supporters. There were reports that the Nagpur control room received a call that the actor’s residence in Shivaji Park was surrounded by men holding weapons and guns. However, the seasoned actor denied the reports calling it “fake”.
In an interview with a publication, Dilip Joshi shared that he’s totally unaware of where this news started making the rounds from. He said that the news is fake and nothing like that happened (Aisa kuch nahi hua). He further stated that the news had been making the rounds for two days and he was shocked to hear it.

Dilip Joshi who plays the role of Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah also went on to reveal how he was worried about the news at first but saw the bright side of things.
He stated that he has received numerous calls since the news broke and that everyone is calling him to ask about his well-being. The aging actor revealed that several of his old friends and extended family also called to check on him and it was nice to catch up with them.

The news also made him realize how much people loved and annoyed him and his family and it was encouraging.

Dilip Joshi was recently spotted at the wedding of colleague Sachin Shroff who replaced Shailesh Lodha as Taarak Mehta in the sitcom. He was accompanied by his wife. The functions also saw the attendance of the entire cast including Munmun Dutta, Palak Sindhwani and Samay Shah among others.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running shows in Indian television. Dilip Joshi has been a part of the show since its inception.
