Police have searched the home of NFL star Joe Mixon following reports of gunfire at the property in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that a child was taken to hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries” Monday night as a result of the reports.
Officers searched the home “were able to gather evidence that will form part of this active investigation”, they said.
“Our detectives will continue to diligently review this evidence and conduct interviews,” the statement continued.
It’s unclear if or how Mixon, 26, is involved, NBC reported.
However, police have confirmed that “part of the crime scene involves a house linked to Bengals player Joe Mixon”.
THE NFL The player was charged with aggravated threats and dropped against him last month.
