DHAKA: England crashed out a 0-3 loss to Bangladesh in their Twenty20 series in half a century by Litton Das and a few tight pins helped the hosts claim a 16-point victory in the final match at Mirpur on Tuesday.
Chasing 159 to win thanks to a 57-ball 73 from Das and an unbeaten 47 from Najmul Hossain Shanto, England lost Phil Salt for a first-ball duck in debutant Tanvir Islam’s opener ahead of Dawid Malan (53) and Jos Buttler (40) stabilized the ship.

Malan then edged Das behind the wickets to become Mustafizur RahmanThe 100th victim in the 14th before Buttler ran out the next ball by attempting a risky single as the hosts put pressure on England.
Moeen Ali and Ben Duckett also perished attempting big shots against Taskin Ahmed and the visitors never recovered, finishing 142-6 from 20 overs.

Bangladesh had denied England a clean sweep in the previous three-game one-day international series by winning the final match, and they produced impressive performances against the world champions in the shortest format.
Having stunned England in the first two matches of the T20, they got off to a good start after being asked to beat by Buttler as Das and his fellow opener. Rony Talukdar (24) settled early on a good wicket to score 46 on the power play.

Talukdar failed to make the most of being dropped on the 17th by Rehan Ahmed disabled Jofra Archer and was caught following an erroneous reverse sweep by Adil Rashid. But his replacement Shanto then came into the crease and further frustrated England.
Das was also given a reprieve, given up by Duckett in the middle of Archer’s deep wicket after making his ninth half, and he continued to punish England bowlers before finally going to Salt from deep.
Shanto narrowly missed out on his half-century as England suppressed the finals with Rashid (1-23), Chris Jordan (1-21) and Sam Curran (0-28) leads the way.
