The biggest spelling test in the world for the Champs-Elysées in Paris

Paris the Champs-Elysees in Paris will host the largest in the world spelling test next month, organizers said Wednesday.
A giant classroom including school desks will be installed on 6,600 square meters (71,000 square feet) of the famous avenue leading to the Triumphal arch in the French capital.
Competitors who will participate in “the greatest dictation in the world” on June 4 will have to correctly write a passage from french text read by the organizers.
Dictations are a mainstay of French education, celebrated by teachers as a pillar for instilling correct grammar and dreaded by schoolchildren who are forced to do them almost daily.
All spelling enthusiasts aged 10 and over can register on the City of Paris website, and some 1,700 will be drawn to take part.
