A little girl in Ukraine died after accidentally strangling herself inside an inflatable trampoline on May 13.
The incident occurred when the 4-year-old boy was playing on an inflatable trampoline at a children’s amusement park in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, and “got entangled” in the rings of the inflatable object, police said.
Serhii Shaikhet, regional police chief, said the child died of suffocation.
The 45-year-old owner of the inflatable trampoline was arrested in connection with the incident.

Natalia Kuchynska, who was about to become the 4-year-old girl’s godmother, told Ukrainian news outlet TSN that three employees were on the phone when the incident occurred.

“There were three girls (employees) near the trampoline who were supposed to watch over the children. But instead they sat with their backs to the trampoline, watching something on their phones,” Kuchynska said.

Kuchynska said people tried to save the boy, but he was later pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating the incident.
