“If I’m with players who are really experienced and when they speak there’s a thinking behind it and I really like to hear that and make sure that what suits my game, I keep trying to develop that in my own way.
“Of course, getting information, experience, learning from them, little, little other things, it’s just amazing,” Jaiswal said at the end of Thursday’s game day.
When asked if his hunger to score points in all formats was due to the fact that he had worked very hard to win it all, the 21-year-old replied: “Yes. My desire is always that if I go to bat, I always make an effort to give my best for the team and how I can contribute the best. Every game, the mindset is to perform well, to set a platform for the team.”
Jaiswal expressed his disappointment at missing a second straight century in the Tests, having scored 171 points in the previous match, where he was declared ‘player of the match’.

“Of course I’m disappointed. But it happens in cricket. I just need to keep learning and keep thinking how can I make sure the next time I come back, what can I do in this situation.
“Every time I hit I try to make sure how long I can hit. But there’s always disappointment when we go out, but that’s okay. It’s cricket, we have to keep learning what we can do (the) next time.
“It’s always nice to go out there and enjoy the pressure, enjoy the situation, enjoy the wicket, the environment. It’s just wonderful to go out there and express yourself,” he added.
