Just Stop Oil protesters set off orange flare at British Open | Golf News

A group of protesters from “Just stop the oil” caused a disturbance by triggering a orange rocket next to the 17th green during the second round of the Great Britain Open To Hoylake Friday.
The sight of orange powder near the edge of the green raised concerns, but luckily it did not affect gameplay, and round two play continued without any delays.
Police responded quickly to the situation and chased the protesters off the course using a golf cart to ensure safety and the smooth running of the tournament.

‘Just Stop Oil’ protesters have been known to disrupt major sporting events in England throughout the year. Before this incident at the British Open, they had already disrupted the Wimbledon tennis championships and Ashes Test at Lord, causing concern and drawing attention to their cause.
Despite their attempts to attract attention through such disruptions, organizers and authorities have been able to effectively manage the situations to ensure that events continue without major interruptions.
