MUMBAI: An unknown man flashed at a female student on a footover bridge at Borivali railway station recently. After the 24-year-old student lodged a complaint, Borivali Police has launched a manhunt for the accused.
The incident occurred on November 1. The woman studies at an institute in south Mumbai. Around 7 am, she had taken an FOB on platform number 3 at Borivali station.As it was early, the bridge was not too crowded.
As she passed an unknown man standing on the bridge, he started to flash at her. The woman was taken aback and moved away quickly. She had to rush to college and approached the Borivali GRP only in the evening on her return from college. An FIR was registered under section 509 of IPC for lewd gestures.
Police are now checking footage from CCTVs on the bridge.
