Speaking with the media outside the Parliament building, PM Modi said the opposition should consider this as a golden opportunity and move forward with positivity this session.
“If I speak on the basis of the recent elections’ results, this is a golden opportunity for our colleagues sitting in the opposition. Instead of taking out your anger of defeat in this session, if you go ahead with positivity and learn from the defeat and leave behind the tendency of negativity of the last 9 years, the country will change their point of view for them,” PM Modi said.

Speaking about BJP’s thumping victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, PM Modi said that those who move on principle of empowerment of four ‘castes’ of women, youth, farmers, poor get overwhelming support.
“Winter is delayed but political temperatures rising. Results of assembly polls encouraging for those committed to people’s welfare, country’s bright future. When there is commitment to people’s welfare then the word anti-incumbency becomes irrelevant,” PM Modi said.
“Some call it pro-incumbency, good governance or transparency, this is being experienced in country. Country has rejected negativity; temple of democracy is important platform for strengthening people’s aspirations,” he added.
The Prime Minister also urged the members of the House to come prepared and emphasized the necessity for comprehensive discussions on the bills presented in Parliament.
As the winter session of the Parliament commenced, BJP MPs raised the slogan of “Teesri Baar Modi Sarkar” and “Baar Baar Modi Sarkar” in Lok Sabha in the presence of the Prime Minister.
BJP on Sunday trounced Congress in straight contests in MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, potentially putting Narendra Modi on the way to becoming the first PM since Jawaharlal Nehru to win three terms.
Congress won a handsome victory in Telangana, dislodging two-term CM KCR of BRS to notch up its second success in the south after Karnataka earlier this year. However, victory in the revenue-surplus state can only be poor consolation for the losses suffered in the heartland, of which at least two were unexpected.
Coming at a time when the battle for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has already been joined, Sunday’s outcome reinforced BJP’s political pre-eminence, at once boosting Modi from the frontrunner for 2024 to probable winner.
