Selena Gomez reveals what she told Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry at the Golden Globes | Ents & Arts News

Selena Gomez has revealed what she was whispering to Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes after a clip of the pair chatting went viral.

The 31-year-old actress and singer was seen chatting discreetly with Swift and Keleigh Sperry, the wife of actor Miles Teller, during the awards ceremony on Sunday.

Swift and Sperry appeared shocked at what was being said.

Fans speculated that Gomez was talking about a supposed awkward encounter she had with Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, who made their first awards show appearance together at the star-studded event.

They believed Gomez was telling Swift that Jenner refused to let her take a photo with Wonka star Chalamet.

However, the Only Murders In The Building star, who appeared alongside Chalamet in 2019 film A Rainy Day In New York, has dismissed that theory.

Commenting on a headline that suggested she was talking about the couple, Gomez wrote on Instagram: “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.”

Fan theory about Gomez’s Disney character confirmed

The former Disney Channel star soon posted on Instagram to say she was leaving social media “for a while to focus on what really matters,” sharing a video featuring her partner Benny Blanco.

It’s unclear if this update was related to the speculation about her conversation with Swift, and fans have pointed out that it’s not the first time she has announced a social media break in recent months.

Gomez was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a television musical or comedy for her role in Only Murders In The Building, but lost out to Ayo Edebiri for her role in The Bear.

Swift was also a nominee on the night for the inaugural cinematic and box office achievement award for the Eras Tour concert film, but lost to box office hit Barbie.
