UP Police exam paper leak case: Chairman of recruitment board removed | Lucknow News

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh government has removed the chairperson of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board in connection with a paper leak case. This decision comes amid concerns over transparency in the recruitment process.
The state government cancelled the police constable recruitment examination held on February 17 and 18 due to allegations of a paper leak.
Following this decision, a re-examination will be conducted within six months, with free transportation provided by UPSRTC.
The Special Task Force (STF) has been assigned to investigate the leak, and FIRs will be filed against those responsible. The exam, which attracted over 48 lakh applicants, faced allegations of a leaked paper circulating on social media.
In response, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board formed an internal committee to probe the matter.
