Bengaluru shop owner stabbed for ‘playing bhajan’ on loudspeaker | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Three men have been arrested by city police, with a manhunt under way for several others, following an incident where they allegedly stabbed a mobile shop owner, claiming his music was disrupting their evening prayers on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred in Nagartpet, Ulsoorgate. Acting on the complaint filed by shop-owner Mukesh, police have arrested three youths on charges of attempted murder.The accused persons, currently in custody, are yet to be identified by the police.
Investigations reveal that the altercation began when Mukesh played bhajan on loudspeaker, prompting objections from the youths, who claimed the bhajan disturbed their evening prayers. Following a heated argument, the youths stabbed Mukesh with a knife before fleeing the scene.
