NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sushil Kumar Rinku and party’s MLA Sheetal Angural joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.
Sushil Kumar Rinku stands as the sole representative of the Aam Aadmi Party in the outgoing Lok Sabha.
Last year, Rinku won in a by-poll in Jalandhar, Punjab, becoming the Lok Sabha MP with a significant margin.
Rinku, a former Congress MLA, switched to the Aam Aadmi Party on April 23 last year.The following day, he was announced as the AAP candidate for the Jalandhar parliamentary constituency.
Bharatiya Janata Party may field Rinku from Jalandhar to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
