HUBBALLI: Mumtaz, the mother of accused Fayaz in the Neha Hiremath murder case, has offered a heartfelt apology to the victim‘s family. Expressing remorse and acknowledging the severity of her son’s crime, Mumtaz sought punishment for her son.
“What my son has done is a crime. He should be punished severely,” she said.
She also claimed that Neha and Fayaz were in love, with Neha initiating the relationship.”Neha was a good girl,” she said.
In response, Geetha, Neha’s mother, voiced her anguish, demanding justice for her daughter. “The accused should be hanged,” she asserted.
Disputing claims of a relationship, she highlighted Neha’s strong bond with her family. “There was no relationship between the two,” Geetha insisted.
Neha’s father, too, dismissed the theory of an affair between Fayaz and Neha outright. “My daughter had never thought about it,” he affirmed.
