One such interesting fact about Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsman Venkatesh Iyer was revealed by the player himself on the show ‘Knights Dugout‘ where the anchor Cyrus Broacha quizzed him about his interest in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The video clip from the latest episode of the show was shared by KKR on social media.
“I like it for the storyline,” said Venkatesh, who scored a match-winning 70 off 52 balls and added 83 runs with Manish Pandey (42) to help KKR recover from a precarious 57/5 batting first.

When asked if he knows that WWE fights are staged, Venkatesh said: “Of course I know, but I hate it when someone says it’s fake.”
“For the longest time, I believed Undertaker saat bar mar ke zinda hua hai (died seven times only to come back alive every time),” he added as both Broacha and KKR coach Chandrakant Pandit, who was also present on the show, expressed their surprise.
For the record, Venkatesh admitted that he also carries the WWE belt (replica) with him.

The video clip from the show shared by KKR on social media ended with Venkatesh showing some of the famous WWE moves, like the ‘choke slam’.
KKR defeated Mumbai Indians by 24 runs to move to No. 2 on the points table, thanks to their seventh win in 10 matches.
