However, Harshit Rana has been in the news for more serious reasons as well. He was recently suspended for one match and fined his entire match fee for a second breach of the IPL Code of Conduct during the 2024 season.

He had directed a flying kiss towards Mayank Agarwal, the dismissed batsman, during the match at Eden Gardens. This action led to his initial breach of the Code of Conduct.
