Paris shooting: Man shoots two officers in Paris police station, says report

NEW DELHI: A man opened fire and seriously wounded two officers inside a police station in Paris on Thursday. The shooter managed to grab a weapon during a routine arrest procedure, leading to the harrowing incident, according to sources as reported by AFP.
The unfortunate turn of events unfolded as officers had just arrested the man and initiated a search. In a swift and unexpected move, the suspect seized one of the officers’ firearms and unleashed gunfire within the confines of the police station, causing serious injuries to two officers.
The injured police officers were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, as reported by French media outlets.The severity of their injuries has yet to be disclosed.
Details surrounding the incident indicate that the shooting occurred in the 13th district of the French capital, shortly before 10:30 pm local time (2030 GMT).
