Rishabh Pant was one of the star performers as India swifty defeated Bangladesh in their only T20 World Cup warm-up match in New York on Saturday.
Pant’s impressive 53 off 32 balls was studded with 4 fours and as many sixes, but the left-handed batsman’s boundary-hit that caught attention the most was a flick that he didn’t bother watching after playing it.

The video clip of the shot went viral on social media.

The game also marked Pant’s return in Indian jersey since his horrific car accident in December 2022.
Batting first, India posted a solid 182 for 5, with Hardik Pandya joining Pant as the other notable contributor with 40 not out off 23 balls, icluding 4 sixes.
Bangladesh miserbaly failed in run-chase, ending up with 122 for 9 for an embarrasing 60-run defeat. Mahmudullah Riyaz (40 retired out) and Shakib Al Hasan (28) were the only ones to provide any resistance.

India utilized as many as eight bowlers, with Arshdeep Singh (2/12) and Shivam Dube (2/13) leading the bowling chart. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik and Axar Patel took one wicket each.
Rules in warm-up matches allow teams to use all members of their squad.
India, who are in Group A, will play their campaign-opener against Ireland in New York on June 5.
